Well darn it Semi. You know better than to go changin things without consulting the quality department. Its no wonder ya went and got me all confused. I can't wait to see this rifle when she's all done. I don't suppose you can video the initial shooting session? Do you plan on firing it remotely first...I hope.

Well that's true. Looks like you've been there - done that. Oh, did I actually type that. Uhhh.....It is true that there will be no pressure anywhere except the barrel and the nipple. So you should be OK.
I predict there will be no malfunction.

I'm not yet sure about the balance needed for consistent ignition (striker weight vs. spring strength vs. comfortable cocking force). Adjustments will likely be required after it's assembled and tested. Should be no big deal though.

That is true Semi. You want to hit the cap with enough force to set it off but not enough to damage the nipple. I don't believe cocking force will be an issue.
