Default New tool for flinters

Isn't it amazing how something designed for one use works perfectly for an entirely different application. Here is one such item. It is a dental brush/pick for flossing your teeth. Well it turns out that the tiny nylon brush is just the perfect size for cleaning out the touch hole on flintlock rifles. And it is much easier to insert than a pipe cleaner.

Then you have a clean touch hole, and dirty teeth.

Brilliant Bronko. Thanks for posting that. (Though we're all a bit surprised you even know that tooth cleaning items exist.)

I love substitute and make-do applications. I'll be getting a pack of those.

1. Cayugad - any drug store should carry them.
2. Muley - why are you using the plural term? Its tooth! That's all I need for gnawing at the food the woman throws in my cage.
3. Semi - Ain't for me, I stole it from the little woman. It's for cleaning between the teeth. (see 2 above)

I made a touch hole pick out of a finishing nail and epoxyed into a small deer antler tip...

For a pan brush, I have a small makeup brush...

Hawkeye - the difference between this item and a touch hole pick is that this item has bristles that actually 'sweep' the touch hole rather than just poke at it.
