Yesterday morning 20 shot were made through Busta' vent. This brought the total to 224 shots, and the flash hole was 0.034" afterwards.

This morning i brought the same rifle with Busta' vent installed. The rifle is the old original X7 with the factory sights, except the aperture has been replaced with a 0.150" aperture. The load was new, so some sight adjustment went on. 300g Deep Curl, 90g BH, crush rib sabot, W209 primer. After 31 shots the rifle was shooting erratic, or maybe i was, so we went home. This morning' shoot brought the total through the vent to 255 shot, and the flash hole was 0.034" afterward. The rifle was cleaned, as was the breech plug. New target were placed on the frame and instead of finding something to do around the house, we went back up to shoot some more.

Eight shots were taken at the target; they made six hole.

The first shot was taken off the bipod at 100 yard. It must have gone to Eenar; it sure wasn't on the target or the backer. So a switch was made to the window rest so i could see what the heck was going on. Wow, the bullets were like shotgun pellets. I was sad. After the eighth shot i had an epiphany kinda thing. It dawned on me i couldn't remember installing the vent back into the plug after cleaning it. Up until then i didn't understand why there was powder granules at the breech; why the primers were leaking between the cup and the anvil; why the bullets were spraying the target; why things seemed weird.
