Fixed up the renegade today that has the .54cal 1:60 twist barrel. I got her shooting 3 1/2" @ 100 yards off my shooting sticks and LATE evening comes by, My brother heads to the range with his AK and so I figured what the heck, take my renegade with me and try 90gr Pyrodex RS, felt wad, .530" ball and .015" dry lubed patches. I took one shot when i had fairly decent light. He took a few shots with his AK while i reloaded and by then, I couldn't even see the box.


HEY!! IDEA!

My brothers AK has a 2.5-10x scope on it... BUT.... It has a laser on it as well!

I asked him to put the laser on target and hold as still as possible, A beautiful bright red bulls eye about 3" diameter that nestled on top of my front sight beautifully. Got comfortable on my sticks and squeezed the trigger. About 1 1/2" high and a touch to the left. Reloaded, had him help me out again..

After 3 shots I walked off the range with a 1 1/2" 3 shot group!

Tomorrow will be another very very late evening shooting event with that renegade!

Devil, have you started work yet on a laser equipped unmanned drone to light up the deer next season?

I thought of that too! I told my brother that we're gonna carry a little laser light just in case during hunting season!
