Didn't get to shoot the ML today. But I did take my daughter and her clan to the airport this morning. Now I just got done washing and waxing the wife's car and my truck. Yes my truck. Washed and waxed. I had to hose off the driveway when I was done. I thought my truck was coal dust grey. Turns out it is silver!
And above all else I want to thank all the vets both living and deceased to allow me to be able to own my own vehicle(s) and other goodies. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the sacrifices you've made to keep us free and safe.

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY TO ALL

Bless all those that have served to protect this great country from harm and to guarantee the freedoms that all to many of us take for granted. And also thanks to their families that have suffered with having their loved ones far from home and in harms way. Remember the veterans and those currently serving. Remember them not just today, but every day of the year and do what we can to make their life better and to thank them for their service.

On a side note.. my father was selected for the "Badger Honor Flight." Wisconsin through donations honor the veterans of the different wars. This is a program where WWII veterans were flown to Washington DC free of charge and then taken on a tour of Washington DC and the WWII monument. My father commented on the honor guard that the United States Marine Corp had, and how perfect those soldiers looked in their dress blues, and then he got to see the names of some of the sailors he knew that never made it home. It was a wonderful opportunity for him. And he was the 500th veteran to be sent on the flight this year. All of the veterans were given a Badger Red hat and Jacket to wear, but his hat says... 500th embroidered on the back of it. Then they are given a fantastic lunch (all he bragged about, was the amount of ham on the sandwiches ... Dad has his priorities Very Happy ) All in one day, and then flown back home to Wisconsin.

That's so great Cayugad. I saw a little bit about that program on TV a few months back (either FOX News or History Channel?). I'm glad he had the opportunity and health to participate.
