Default Counting Frames

Well, it is a good thing i played yesterday, because wife came home in the middle of the night from her road trip. She was supposed to arrive here Thursday. I mowed the lawn the other day, but since then have been neglecting chores.

The X7 has been shot near everyday since wife left left. The load is 110g BH, 300g Deep Curl, crush rib sabot, and W209 primer.

For some reason unbeknownst to me, i like to see movies reduced to stills. In this thread a video was made of a shooter-target. Stills were made from the video, and are shown in sequence from when the rifle is fired until the impact of the bullet on the target, and one frame beyond. The camera takes 30 frames per second. The shooter is behind the truck, and the target is in foreground. The first frame is just before the trigger is pulled. The second frame shows the puff of smoke revealing the rifle has fired, and the bullet is on the way.

Seems it takes forever for the bullet to arrive at the target. The last still was made a skosh less than 1/2 second after impact.

Ron, I'm sure your wife understands why chores had to be put aside in favor of the vital missions you pursued in her absence.

Just consider the relative importance - vacuum the house and wash dishes or shoot the X7 and film the shot. NO CONTEST.

Not sure what it would prove, but do you have any way to zoom in on those? Just wondering what the chances are you could catch a glimpse of the bullet in flight?

The size of these photo was decreased some because there are so many. One could go back, and instead, show the originals. However, i am not sure that would be constructive.

The only time i myself, have ever been able to see the bullet in flight, is when i was standing behind the shooter, and the sun was right. This i have experienced many a time. A camera may be able to capture the image of the bullet, but i believe it would need be behind the shooter. It was explained to me that i wasn't actually seeing the bullet in flight, rather i was seeing a 'vapor trail'. I won't argue the point, but when one can 'see' the bullet in flight, it looks as though one is seeing the bullet in flight.

If you are looking to see something other than what these photo show, please inform me, and i will try to accommodate you i.e. the lens can be zoomed more or........................? It can't hardly be a bad thing to request one burn more primer and powder.

Not really looking for anything in particular, just thought it would make for a neat picture to see the bullet in flight.
