My friend had a NE'er and I had a Renegade, both in 50 cal. All we ever shot was 370 Maxiballs over 100 gr Pyrodex RS. The guns shot great, and were about identical as far as accuracy.
I never had the same kind of accuracy with Maxihunters. They seemed to loose in the bore, whereas the maxiball's forward band would really engrave in the rifling.
