I have a confession to make. After I posted pictures of my new .32 caliber Traditions Deerhunter rifle on Monday...I sinned. I put a scope on it. I'm afraid this was a necessary evil. It sure helped when I shot that 7/16" 3 shot group at 50 yards.

If I am going to be sent down under (and I don't mean Australia) for every scoped traditional rifle I own.. well I am sunk. But we knew that.

Nice looking rifle. And when they shoot like that.. I'd love that scope look even more.

So if Semisane jumps off a cliff, will you two follow? If you do, please put me in your will! A .32 that shoots under 1/2" at 50 yds is great - scoped or not.

This is my third Traditions rifle. All three are excellent shooters. If you don't own one yet, you should consider it. And I'm not getting anything to say that. Nothing but the satsfaction of owning three terrific shooting muzzle loaders.

I have four Traditions cap lock rifles. Well one is a Flintlock. I like the Woodsman Hawken's model. And as plucket has noted, they are great shooters. They function exceptionally well, and with a moderate powder charge shoot roundball very well. My one hawken that has a 1-48 twist actually shoots sabots quite well, also.

I too, own a Woodsman 50 cal. Shoots a broad range of bullets well.

Question pluckit, did you drill and tap your .32 cal for scope mount or was that already done?

Just thinking in the future idea like to put a scope on mine.... would need to be drilled and taped.

Everybody needs a little help now and again.
