Default Dang It's Been Quiet Here (Off Topic)

Things have been mighty quiet on the forum the last few days. Can't sit around waiting for an interesting thread. So I went to a local restaurant and had a cup of Crawfish* Bisque, a dozen oysters on the half shell, a half dozen large shrimp broiled in butter, and two-for-one draft Red Ale. The waitress was cute, but the oysters were better.

*We don't spell it "Crayfish" down here in the bayou country.

Well hunting season has ended.. and people are busy with fishing and yard work. I was out cleaning the range today. I must have swept up a bag of sabots, patches, and stuff with the yard sweeper. Then had to move some wood ash, bring the mowers up.. discovered one is really in bad shape so I have to fix that. Need to tune the tiller also. Just lots of things to do. But it will get better. Then I can cut firewood, split and stack it all, and build an addition on the garage hopefully.

Hope the shrimp and oysters were good.

My season ended this past Saturday. Still need to wash and store the gear. As Cayugad said, time for yard work and maybe get to the range.

I have managed to get some garden in early due to the beautiful weather we had in March, and I even got out Trout fishin' once with my son, but I've had a lot of school work on my plate as the semester draws near the end. Might get some shootin' in when I get my new sight set.

I bought a new lawnmower to replace the one I had for 20 some years, figured you didn't want to hear about that...

Leaving on April 15th for a week, turkey hunting and bream fishing with the fly rod...

All of my lawn mowers grew up, got married and moved out. Now I have to do it myself.
