Default Trying a new gun oil

Got my order in from Birchwood Casey after Fedex damaged the first one!

I got some new gun oil " Synthetic gun oil with PTFE Lubricant". I've only done one trigger with it " The Apollo trigger" and so far it does not seem as slick as Barricade or even RIG #2.

I just hit the Wolf inners and waiting for it to try up before i try the trigger scale to see the difference.

After the first trigger on the Apollo, it just didn't have that slick snap feeling like i get with barricade.

Doesn't smell purdy either. A weird smell, Its darn hard to put a name to it, it smells like something i've smelt before but just can't figure it out yet.

I can relate. Lately I have been using automatic transmission fluid. It is dirt cheap and does the job well. Too bad it doesn't smell "purdy."

60% moly paste like this Beeman Metal 2 Metal moly paste will slick up your trigger. It's like getting a trigger job in a jar.

This outfit requires a $20 minimum order:

Seeing the ATF reminded me of a recipe I found awhile back for some stuff called "Ed's Red." Has anyone else ever heard of it or tried it? The end result is supposed to be essentially the same as Hoppes, but can be mixed at around $12/gallon. I was going try it but it got pushed aside and I kind of forgot about it. I'll have to go dig out the list and start collecting the stuff for it.
