YES, it is easy to be confused with so many bullets so similar in weight, design and diameter. Don't know why they do that! Hornady has gotten back to me and said they think at velocities of 1800 fps, you'd be better with a regular XTP for deer because it will expand better. The XTP MAG has a thicker jacket and a thicker base. They said the XTP MAG was made for the 454 Casull and the S&W 460 guns. They said they're not sure which bullet TC uses in their packs because TC buys both types and weight from. Truthfully, I think they will all kill deer in their tracks, or shortly thereafter as long as it's a good shot. Thanks again for all the feedback! |
