Default teflon tape question

I recall a lot of discussion about the use of teflon tape instead of grease for breech plugs. If my memory serves, it seems most of the discussion was related to BH209. Does the tape also work well for T7?

Dutch,

Make sure you wrap it so the treads don't unwind your tape. I try not to overlap so it stays nice and thin.

Also, I add just a little grease on top of the tape. It may not be necessary but I do so just the same.

Wait til you see how easy the clean up will be. It's the way to go in my book.

Teflon Tape, Ya, it works....but Sabotloader got me to try it....I did....It's OK. But I just went back to the BP Grease and a little bit of Fouling. I dont mind the tad bit of fouling, after all it's a MLer and with BP that's what you get. I also like to CLEAN my MLer so this is'nt a problem, it gives me something to do after a range session or a hunt. If I had a MLer that hardly needed a cleaning I'd be lost and looking for something to do. Todays Crowd want's everything Easy to Do, I just want to Do and dont mind it at all.

Depending on your ML and breech plug, you may need the pink tape, you may need the white. I have an Omega and brought the pink but found it was too thick. The white works fine for me.

Gents,

This is all great information. I am convinced. I will use the teflon this weekend.
