I agree with Devil's suggestion. Groups improved with a wad under the bulletIn in every gun I've tried REALs in. Not always a great improvement, but some.

Yes that is my Caldwell rest I shoot off of. I got that on sale one time for next to nothing. It is no lead sled, but it works good for me. Although you have to get used to the shape of it. I shoot off that and work on my rifles off of that. I have been tempted to get a lead sled, but so far have not taken the leap.

Looking for something light cause some times I have to go to the public range and you have to carry everything to the benches which are about 50 to 60 yards or farther depending on how many cars are there no looking for recoil reduction like the lead sled thanks for the response

Dave, My first wife liked to shoot real bullets but had to load 90 grains to get them to shoot good.

Mack that gun rest is very very light. But when I shoot, I have a hugging style and that seems to work real well.

Lee, real conical suggests starting at 60 grains. And a friend shoots 70 grains and a 54 caliber 300grain real out of his hawken rifle, and has always got pass through.
