Default Late Season

This is the second week of the late black powder season here in Maryland. I'll be heading out in the morning with my .50 caliber Traditions Pursuit to see if I can get lucky. The weather looks good. It will be nice in the morning with bad weather rolling in later in the day. Hopefully they will be moving and feeding tonight in preparation for bad weather and I can catch one on it's way home in the morning.

Good hunting my friend. My season will end on 7 Jan. I will be going up to hunt camp in a few days.

I hate to say it but I didn't see any deer this morning. Did anyone see any?

I'm having my worst season ever Pluckit. I passed on a few "smallish" deer earlier in the season that I now wish I had shot.

In the last three weekends of hunting the only thing I've seen was one yearling doe of about 50/60 lbs. She was eating acorns about 60 yards from my stand. I had the crosshairs of the X7 placed just behind her ear for about fifteen seconds, but couldn't pull the trigger even though I have no meat in the freezer yet. I hope I don't regret that decision at the end of January.
