Default A buck finally

Yesterday morning me and the wifey decided to get up early and drive to our place at Sitka and hunt. It was the second day of the 3 day late ml season. At 7:30 I had 3 bucks walking in single file come strolling through the woods. None of them were big bucks, but since I hadnt shot a buck this year and its getting down to the wire they all looked pretty good to me. I shooting my White G-series Whitetail with 100gr of pyro P and a 370gr TC maxi ball. This load is very accurate out of my White rifle so I have stuck with it for several years. The buck was broadside at 30 yards and the bullet took out both lungs and the top of his aorta, he reared up on his hind legs and took off for about 25 feet before piling up. He was only at 2.5yr old, but has 11pts on him.

With a short 3 day late ML season and no buck I'd have taken him also, he's a good buck and nothing to be ashamed of.
Congrats!

Thanks Dave, that rifle was a Christmas present back in the mid-nineties from my wife. She's a real shooter to.
