What does SD weather have to do with anything? .................. Oh, wait, i get it, another deflection.
It is heat and burnt residue that wear breech plug flash hole. One thing that is true about this part of SD, there are tools available to measure things such as flash hole diameter. Willingly or not, you will learn that flash holes erode. You will learn that breech plugs are not able to provide thousands of shots without showing wear. When you wrote that your plugs are good for thousands and thousands of shots, you were either wrong, or you...................................never mind. Bye the bye, the weather in SD is usually quite good for shooting rifles. |
I know i have well over 100 shots in my new Optima and its factory flash hole is still at .029"

Shot some more today but was having issues with the W209 just puking blowby. Switched to cci 209 magnum primers and my accuracy improved, no blowby and zero crud ring as well which really surprised me. I put the BH209 plug in my open sight Optima as thats my main hunting horse and i wont be doing any out of state hunts next year.
