TRIPLETS!!!
Got this scope in today! The KonusPro 275 3-9x40mm. It was mounted on a slightly used CVA Optima " New version" with the black thumbhole stock, Blackhorn209 breech plug already installed and the Durasight dead on mount.
The scope is sweet! I never liked the BDC Scopes with the O's in the optics, kind like cluttered things up in the Leupold i was trying out.
The 275 stands for 275 yards but for some reason, i either printed out the wrong diagram or they didn't etch the 275yrd mark into the glass. Either way, its a great looking scope.
The trigger on the gun was previously measured at 2.5lbs but to me it felt "sticky" i guess you'd say. Stripped the rifle down to the bare frame and used a good deal of gun scrubber to clean out the guts the best i could get it and let it dry. Followed up with some dry graphite and that sucker turned into sweet candy! I actually even did just a touch of Barricade to keep the graphite from falling off over time. Firing pin was also lubed with dry graphite.
After proper cleaning " it was oily big time!" and using the Graphite, i put the trigger scale on it 3 times, 28oz,28oz,27oz. I was a happy camper with that!
Since i am out of BH209 i decided to go a head and load up some tubes with 100gr American Pioneer 2f and the 250gr Powerbelt Aerolite just to get it on paper and she how she does.
And for those of you who are going. Whhhhhaat?! Another Optima.... I borrowed it off Muley so i could review the scope LOL. Thanks Muley
Going to show it to my brother in law, he was already cr appin his pants when he called and i told him about the Ballistics scope on it.
