this thread http://www.huntingnet.com/forum/blac...my-season.html
was not about proper rain cover on the muzzle. I did have an touch of rust on the ends of by my win apex and stone mountain silver eagle sidelock, but the powder was dry on both. the silver eagle fired fine but for an slight hang fire. which was my fault. I did not load it with the hammer up (i found it better to draw the powder into the drum better).
I was worried and upset about the win apex. the bushing that holds the firing pin. the head of the bushing broke in half. I just got off the phone with cva's CS, they are sending me an new bushing and told me the gun should be fine to fire with the head broken in half.
guess i was kinda embarrassed about stating what happen.
