heard a stick break at noon yesterday looked up fast didn't see anything so i was taking my time looking for sign on the run where they cross a logging road(8 foot road/path)I took a step forward and i heard them , seen a doe turn 360 degrees and look back fast and off they go fawn to its right tail down....piss me off lol I allway run across the smart ones lol ...but when I got back to the truck I tried to fire the white mountian and it didn't fire tried 3 musket caps
i would be mad if had a nice shoot and it didn't fire probly my fault I kept the gun loaded in the truck for a week with no primer,,,i missed a doe running last year with a hang fire with this gun last year....it did rain last week no more leaveing it with powder and bullet for me....murpphy's law lol

I had the same thing with an elk this year. Thought I heard and very quiet step every so often, but thought: "surely that can't be an elk". But it was. Small rag horn snuck in on my cow calls.
