DocD if you are using a revolution please check this recall out from knight.

As stated Knight Mountaineer would be a great choice.

I'm happy with my CVA Apex and my new Encore FX. I would buy one of those MLs if I was buying...

Default I'm happy

with my Knight Mountaineer. It is the MZ that I would recommend to someone looking for a new MZ.

BTW, I have had no problem with the breech plug.

Accurate rifle. Good looking rifle that is built well. I like it.

Thanks Steve, I sent mine in when I received the recall. The major problem I had with the Revolution were mis-fires, and yes it happen twice when I on deer, I would pull the trigger and nothing!! at first I thought it was the primer, I called Knight and sent it in, it was returned with an explanation as to the cause, fixed, & have never had another problem. As I said earlier, Knight treated me great. I will be taking a close look at the Mountaineer, Thanks again. Doc

I am not particularly fond of my Bighorn. I will not stay on my shoulder with my sling, and I cover alot of ground on foot. It is barrel heavy and slides back and flips muzzle down. I liked the 22" barrel LK93 much better.

I did solve the sling problem after 2 days of hunting this season. I took the sling off.

I looked at what is out there, and to be honest, there are only a couple of shorter barreled options.

Cleaning it is the usual Knight pain, so maybe a break open with a short barrel.
