It really sucks for a scoped inline. That 4" group will really grow at longer distances.
This 50 yard target is off a portable bench with open sights.. Shooting two different bullets... When you double the spread for 100 yards it is still a repectable target for open sights.

For myself only the real test is when I place clay pigeons @ 100 and can bust them on shot one bird. The gun is ready to go hunting.

I have confidence in this gun and these bullets.

I know, but you have to figure it all in. What if the group opens up to 6-7" at a longer range. Now you have to figure in a little nervousness, maybe out of breath, crosswind etc. The tighter the group. The better chance you have to hit the kill zone with everything figured in.

been sayin that for years LOL.

Besides, we all know that a sidelock is more accurate than the BA/BO muzzleloaders.

A hunter can take any deer, sheep, pronghorn, goat at a 100 yards with a 4moa gun because the kill zone is a 8" diameter heart-lung kill area right ? Or has the kill zone got smaller with 1.0 moa bench group size ?Plus even at 150 yards it would be a 6" inch gun right

I'm sure your gun shoots better than a 4" group.

It could. At least it will shoot where you aim.

Find a bullet that your gun hates and shoots big groups. Then go hunting on a windy day. Tell me how your confidence will be?

I'd be pretty uneasy for a long shot.

Thats why I shoot a .475 dia vs a .458 dia bullet gives me a little more room for error

Yep, in theory a bolt action should be more accurate...I prefer a bolt in centerfires as you can change stock pressure or free float and you can adjust the trigger...

Only problem is these targets shot with 3 different Knights and a Optima...Just doesn't make sense...

My Knight Disc...

My buddy's Wolverine...

My brother's Bighorn...

My buddies Optima...

Yep, in theory a bolt has to be more accurate...
