He said.

A - Not all CVA bores are .500
B - My Genesis is .5015 and I can load them just fine.

I said CVA's have a .500 barrel. He said they don't, and his non CVA has a .501 barrel and loads the bullets fine. What does that have to do with what I said? .5015 is not .500.

Forums are funny sometimes.

I tried the FPB in all my CVA's, and couldn't get them started.

So, i'm assuming all the Bergara CVA's have a .500 bore.

I asked Hornady what the diameter of the FPB is, and they told me .503. Western Powder found out the same thing. See link below.

I'm finding it hard to believe that a .503 bullet can get down a tight bore.

Does your gun have a Bergara barrel. Not a hard question.

You said it yourself, you "assume" that all CVAs are .500. That's not the case. I have a Wolf setting in my cabenit that's .502. Which is why I said, don't make blanket statements.

I don't care if you find it hard to believe that I can get a .503 down, it doesn't change reality.

The question of my barrel being a Bergara barrel is irrelevent. .501 is .501 regardless of the manufacturer. I don't know why you can't understand that.

What does it have to do with what you said? You said all CVAs are .500 and you can't use FPBs. That's not true, not all of them are and you can use them with some CVAs.

Mentioning of my gun was just an example where even a tight bored .5015 can still work with FPBs. I have a CVA that has a larger bore than the Genesis.

Math are reading is hard I guess for some...

.500 is a tight bore. I made no mention of your gun. I said TIGHT BORES!

My Wolf was .500. All CVA's seem to want the .500 Thor.

Whatever anyway. Everybody wants to argue. Pick away at the smallest details. This forum is getting as bad as Claudes.

Bergara Barrels " on all CVA guns just to clear this up LOL" run bores of .500 to .501

The FPB is extremely tight in the .500" CVA Bore. It takes a good 4 or 5 wacks on the bullet starter to get the bullet down. I dont like that during hunting. Thor or Powerbelt for me as well.
