Muley i am sure the heavier flat metplate Pb's would do just fine.it's the pure lead with the huge hollow point,that are the problem.

Yeah, but you know how I hate recoil.

I'll just use 100-110gr of BH with a 300gr Thor, and be happy knowing it will get the job done.

A nice soft recoil pad on the gun, and a shoulder recoil pad will keep my shoulder smiling.

DonJose taking pics wasnt the first thing on my mind. I drove home from my VA farm saturday night turned around and headed down the eastern shore of md to help a few friends out in the am...sorry

If your friends like a sabot-less bullet, suggest they try Hornady FPBs. I have shot 5 deer at ranges from 30 to about 100. All pass-throughs, some through the shoulders too.
