Field tip compared to Broad heads.

I was told last year when i started archery hunting my field tips would not shoot the same as my broad heads. Both tips shoot in the same spot all day long. Anyone else get the same results? Just curious why nobody around home does. I am shooting 100grn bullets :p if that matters.

blackpowder= archery, is this posted in the right area? Oh I got it, you are trying to up your non shill, threads

but, alot of people have issues with broadheads flying off path of a field point. it can usually be traced back to a poorly tuned bow. If everything is set up correctly they should hit with the same POI. It is far worse and exaggerated with a fixed head over a mechanical. It is my opinion that you should tune better and use a proven fixed blade, like Muzzy. I tried Rages, when they first hit the market and was all the rage but, when i could not get a solid pass thru at 30yds on a rib cage. I went back to my Muzzy's.

I shoot 100 gr muzzys and get same poi as my field points. I use the MX3's
Complete pass throughs and usually dead deer in 40 to 60 yards

Chet, i use MX4's with the same results, with the tenpoint and 110lbs. of kenetic energy, it blows thru em like hot butter.

I can't hunt here with a crossbow, the state doesn't allow them. I use a compound . I usually don't shoot past 35 yards so pass throughs are the norm at that distance. I love the muzzys

It just depends upon your setup and how close you had the bow tuned before going to broadheads...I have tuned my bow where it shoots both the same...

We do not either (not in the early season, late season is okay), till next year. but, we have them for dissabled hunters, i have a bad shoulder and neck (cervical stenosis) that keeps my thumb and fore finger numb and sharp pains down my shoulder balde thru the back of my arm, to my elbow. So, i qualified and have been allowed to use it for the last two years. I still miss my vertical bow!!!!:sad0064:
