Safety Thread

A lot of guys have seen this video. It's still worth posting for those who haven't seen it.

Safety first guys.

It's perfectly obvious why i prefer bolt actions. Thanks for sharing that.:cool2:

Thousand dollar safety lesson. I almost cried to see them blown up

They could have put that much HS-6 in a $5000 Barret 50cal BMG and it would have blown up too. They should have just used some C4.

Wow.

Make me a little scared to use recommended powders.

If someone mistakenly used smokeless instead of BP. That's the kind of load they would use.

It was showing that no barrel could take it.

Day-um.

Did they really have to blow up an Omega X7? It's a discontinued gun fer cryin out loud and getting pretty hard to find!

It blew apart real nice.

Whoa!

I'd not seen that before;frightening!

I'm wondering about the results of the 120gr load; while the CVA & TC were completely destroyed, the knight's barrel seemed to "peel" forward. I guess the nature of a laminated wood stock accounts for that?

Thanks for the post.

Muley Hunter 10-18-2011 05:21 AM

Maybe the bolt action on the Knight helped, or the GM barrel. I still wouldn't want to be holding onto it.

It would have been interesting to see how the Savage would have held up.
