Its pretty simple NO shoulder fired weapon on the planet will contain that much psi. HS-6 has a HUGE % of nitroglycerin and is usually used in very small amounts in 9mm and 40cal. Plus some shotshells.

It has NEVER been a recommended smokeless powder and never will be for a SML but if they would have used a recommended powder im sure it wouldnt have been so dramatic. Im sure the extreme effect was their intention otherwise they would have used a commonly used SML powder.

Ive seen a brand new Encore explode just as badly using subs. It appears to be an APP product.

How about a 500S&W because of a intentional over charge and a squib load.

You cant fix stupid and if you are not upto the task of reloading CF ammo corectly, you are not upto using a approved SML either.

He had a bottle of APP on the table. How much did he use? It's not a powder known for high pressure.

That's scary.

Makes you wonder about some of these magnum loads some guys use.

A Savage looks more like this if you use smokeless by volume and dont read your manual. The damage is far less using a large over charge of a recommended powder which the owner admitted to doing. Likely 3-4 times the recommended load data for smokeless.

Read your manual and this wont happen.

My 45cal load is so mild the sabots look better than if i use a near max amount of Bh209. This load makes similar peak pressure as a 3 pellet load or less if a pellet cracks yet they recommend 3 pellet loads?

This was with 60gr of Re7 which is a slow burner. These sabots look really good for moving over 2600fps.
