yeah but that might scare off the deer. Ive thought about it but i can deal with him until he goes to sleep this winter. Then i can keep track of the deer herd.

oh by spring i shall have a tag hopefully LMAO.

No food other than what grasses and shrubs there are naturally but that will change next spring.

A thing you do need to watch MD is your dog. Some bear do not take well to them. Lots of times bear will run from them and you, but some of the bigger bear find it easier to kill dogs, especially solo dogs. And a bear that size can move a lot faster then you might believe. I would move that water source further away from the house if possible. But of course you are going armed, so that should be ok.

Thats a huge bear ! Pretty color too! As my bear guide once said, " if a bear charges rub s**t in his eyes! I said where am I gonna get some s**t? He responded, If he charges you'll have some s**t !!
