A 12 Ga. shogun slug is .70 or so, a lot bigger than the .50 RB. In my experience, the .50 RB is a LOT better than 12-Ga. Foster hollow slugs. Have no experience with the new Partition Gold type slugs!

i just might not switch...my shots are always under 50yards....i dont need anything fancy......why complicate things more then they need to be?just when i hit one im going to have to watch it for as long as possible and keep looking....im not much of a tracker....ive never had to track a deer.....except when my scope on my 3006 was broke and we had no idea and the remington ammo i had was junk plus a bad hit left barely any blood and no deer.......but the woods im hunting i know well will know where to look if i dont see it go down....i cant wait to get out and shoot.....i really thought round balls wouldnt do much damage....but i guess that was wrong! thanx alot guys.....
