Shot the renegades today
Found a round ball load for the renegade hunter
80 grains triple F goex, .15 patch and a .490 ball
Shots to the left were the first two- adjusted the sight and shot the next four - all the other holes are where my buddy shot the cardboard with a 9M
Not sure what the deal is with the 2nd renegade it would not go of the the first shot and scatter the balls and ballets everywhere
I didn't bother shooting ballets in the reney hunter - found a load that works at 50 yards

Are these flinters or percussion? Usually the biggest culprit with a flinter is oil. Its bad news for a perc too. But the flinters seem more susceptable to oil contamination. You need a dry frizzen and sharp flint.

Very nice shooting.
I know this sounds silly, but I just hate when someone else shoots my target. Maybe because I am easily confused and those other holes mess it up. But that really is some good shooting you did there. Renegades are shooters.

Thanks fellows, happy to find a load
Bronko, Both are percussion but the lock feels a little weaker, it is the one with set triggers and I will not shoot without setting the triggers
In all fairness he had filled it full of 9m before I shot was load testing and these were the first shots of the day for me - couldn't let that group go without a photo but yeah it craps up the picture

You can switch locks and see if that is your problem. If it is, you can call T/C and send it back and they will either rebuilt it or send you a new one. The coil spring may have weakened. Highly unlikely but it could happen. Another thing to check. Is the backside of the hammer maybe rubbing against the stock causing it to drag?
