Default Woodsman Hawken with xtp's

Could resist the urge to try some sabot loads through the Woodsman.

.430, 240gr xtp
80gr 2f Goex @ 50 yards

1 - clean barrel and a slight hang fire.

2,3 & 4 - good to go!

Just couldn't help myself.

OOPS, wrong photo. I'll speak to editing.

What sabot were you shooting? I will have to try that in my Woodsman Flintlock with the 1-48 twist. That is some great shooting...

That'll work. Mighty fine shooting. Looks like you will be good to go.

Cayugad, I would have tried different powder charges, but I only have a handful of the 240gr. I do have a box 300gr, but my Triumph likes those. Perhaps another day.

Sabots are the Hornady - green. #6750
