Default TC Shockwaves with the black sabot

Anyone use this instead of the easy glide sabot.

The 250gr Shockwaves shot great out of my Encore using a Harvester black cr sabot.

In my knights they shoot great. I can't get them down the bore on my omega or triumph. They are to tight

Im asking because I shot a TC encore and think the easy glides go in to easy and wondered if they were tighter maybe it would shoot better.

If the yellow easy glide were loose I would try the standard black, they should fit good . And tighter is better, usually more accurate,

The regular black ones shoot well out of my Knight as well...

I found that the sabots that came with my shockwaves were not consistant. Some would load easily while others were hard to load. I switched to Harvester black CR sabots and got load consistancy and better accuracy.

I do. They are harder to load in my TC Encore, but are 100% reliable. I find that the EZ load, Superglide and other Low drag sabots are a bit on the loose side, and sometimes result in hangfires when using BH 209. No such issue with the Black Mag Express sabot, which is the same as the MMP HPH 12, if I am not mistaken.

My Encore makes very small groups using the SST/Shockwave in the tight red or black sabot. They are hard to load. The Hornady Easy Load sabots go down much easier but the groups are much larger. The Super Glides load very easy but my Encore makes patterns with them.

After 3 different times at the range this year and two last year using the 250 gr. Shockwaves with the easy glide sabots in my .50 ca. T/C 209X50 I realize that I'm just not going to get anything close to a MOA because they are just too loose and soft for my setup. I just ordered some MMP HPH-12 black sabots in .50 cal. (.501-.502 bore dia.) I can't wait to get them in so I can see how they group with some Hornady SST's.
