I had a LH flint lock in the Deer Stalker model. It was a great rifle. Nice and short, and fast handling. I did not have any problems with accuracy. Mine shot very well with PRB's and heavy conicals.

IMO they make a great hunting rifle. I did sell mine. However I sold a few rifles to have the money to purchase a custom FL, or I would have never sold mine.

One of the great features in the Lyman 57SML peep sight. It fits right on the DeerStalker, and is a fantastic sight, IMO. Tom.

I love Lyman but that particular gun is my least favorite.I prefer the Great Plains or if you want a compromise twist then the trade rifle. I haven't had a Lyman that wasn't an accurate shooter.

I too had a LH version. It is a fine reliable rifle. I never had a problem with mine. But I did dislike the single trigger. That's the reason I sold mine.

Thanks for the feedback fellows, have a lead on another renegade seems like that may be the better option

Lyman makes great ML's.My only experience is with the GPR but I'm sure the Stalker's just as good and probably the better choice in cover.
