No Jon! you push and you push hard... not only that you get antagonistic very easily if it does not go your way... now in the same breath I would tell you lately - i do not see it as much as I use to.

Shooting a few times a year you certainly are not going to stress it in anyway...
In my case I just fell in Love with the TC Encore line of guns so I bought a ProHUnter. Now I shoot more than a couple of times a year but I don't burn a ton of powder either. I just wanted a TC ProHunter so I bought one and have never regretted it. As for CVA I am sure they are great guns now as so many attest to them being so but you couldn't give me a CVA unless I had a buyer lined up for it beforehand. Just a personal bad relationship with a CVA of the past that really soured me on that company.

At first thought, I felt this way as well. But then I started thinking about those I know and hunt with who shoot MAYBE 3 shots a year with a ML. The majority of them shoot Triumphs, Encores and Knights... Despite Traditions and CVAs being cheaper, apparently my friends prefer the higher end models.

Either you're delusional or sarcastic... I can't tell which. But I do know for sure you push CVA as much or more than Grouse does Knight.

I guess one of the questions for me is how many of the parts that are shopped out [which I here all of them are ] by Knight are made in America?
And another comment is when you check CVA and TC barrels and breach plugs with a Rockwell you will find a very large difference in strength, I have not heard what the new Knight barrels check but if they are a strong as the older ones they are also very good.

there are no breech plug issues today with any muzzle loader company that i know of.

prepare for some powerbelt talk after hunting season lol, i got a decent order in and plan on pulling out the pyrodex,t7 and goex for some testing in the sidelocks with the 250 and 300gr aerolites. Im actually sighting in the hawken tomorrow with the 250gr aerolites and use it as a back up gun in Colorado.

Jon is absolutely pro CVA and that's fine. since having his own website he has tested many different products and even gave the new aerolites a not so favorable review. the other products tested he seems to give honest reviews on also.i would say he has come a long way in changing his ways.he posts opinions on many different subjects now, not just his pet products.unfortunately where grouse is concerned this is not the case and i seriously doubt that he can or will ever change

Lee, could you share with the rest of us your knowledge on the Rockwell hardness ratings of different barrels.
Aren't the barrels for the current Knight's made by Green Mountain, just as they were before? Would you expect the Rockwell hardness rating to change?
