My uncle, now deceased, had one of those Cayugad. That sucker was a tack driver. But he was not a reloader as I recall he had a devil of a time finding ammo for it. I wonder what ever happened to that gun. His wife probably gave it away or turned it in to a police station. She feared guns as though they had a life and mind of their own.

Norma reloads the cartridges for them. They are a 165 grain boat tail. And that thing really will shoot well.
I was at a range many years ago, with it one afternoon and these men were sighting in their deer rifles/scopes. This has a peep sight. So after one guy shot his scoped Ruger, I got the bench turn. The guys were watching me pretty close. Of course that was back when I could see real well. I slipped three of them in a bulls eye at 100 yards, checked it in the spotting scope.. announced that "that should be good enough" and walked off. |
