To bad they will only ship to an FFL dealer even though it's not required.

Chet that is a common requirement for the Auction Sites but most often with a ML they will waive it when requested... if you do not live in one of the 5 states that require FFL.

I bought a Remington off Auction Arms with the same requirement but the seller was able to waive the requirement for Idaho.

I don't have a problem with that if they make that their policy. I just didn't like the attitude portrayed in the way they make the statement.
It comes across all wrong.

Heres the statement: We are not a storefront and offer our "pre-owned" firearms for sale through AUCTION ONLY.We accept faxed & e-mailed, SIGNED COPIES, of original FFL licenses.
ATTENTION: ... In order to ensure compliance with all Federal, State and Local Laws; ALL FIREARMS---..... EVEN BLACKPOWDER---- MUST BE SHIPPED TO AN FFL DEALER OR C&R LICENSE HOLDER. (WE KNOW THIS IS NOT REQUIRED BY THE ATF & OR YOUR STATE).... Keep this in mind when placing your bid.... DON'T bid on Blackpowder Firearms if this is not acceptable for you... it's OUR policy to ensure firearms are transferred SAFELY...so Please DON'T E-MAIL US YOUR OPINIONS about this.....and Thanx for understanding.....

Sure sounds like someone with an attitude problem.

Sounds like an outfit that does not deserve my business.

WHOA!!! I did not read any of that... I knew I wasn't going to buy it so passed on all that... but if I were I would just have him mail it to my local Gun Shop and pick it up from them - they know a FFL is not required...

But you are right - that guy/company needs a little help with diplomacy...

The good thing that will/could keep the price down...

They need help with diplomacy and understanding the law. Restrictions are bad enough without making them worse. Personally, I don't think they deserve to get anyone's business.

I bought an original Disc rifle from them about a year ago. They wanted an FFL. I believe their concern was they wanted buyers to receive some instruction on the use of it. Liability avoidance, more than anything.
