Need to tweak my scope a little, but other than that.... ready. Pretty much always ready. Our ML season isn't until after regular firearms season here in IN. However, it is legal to use a ML during the firearm season here. So that is what I usually do.

2-50gr 777 pellets and a 250gr Shockwave...

Gm54-120 08-26-2011 08:49 PM

The GMB54-120 is either using the same as last year and its ready to go. I may try the Lehigh 275gr instead.

Elite 45 is also ready to go

I just shot a few smokeless and BH209 combos out of the NULA and im still undecided but i might try the odd ball 50x475 Harvester with a .475 275gr Speer GD/DC. It shot really well yesterday at close range and was devastating on the media tests. Even at smokeless speeds it held on to over 230grs and nearly blew the phone books in half.

Using a Barnes 290 gr T-EZ for the first time this year in a new Knight 2011 Bighorn. Big and slow over 90 gr. GOEX ffg.

Still have to get the new scope sighted in, and I'd like to work up a load for the 350 gr. FPB, but if I run out of time I know the 250 gr. SST will group well enough to hunt with.

No I'm not. Fortunately our ML season doesn't start until the last weekend of November so I have some time. I have the open sights on the Pro Hunter but still have to get out and sight it in. I will hopefully be doing that in a few days.
I will say that for about the last month I've found myself spending a lot of time thinking about all I need to do to get ready for the season. A lot of the stuff I wanted to get done I don't think is going to happen, but that's ok. It will give me stuff to do next year.

I'm essentially ready. The Triumph loves the 250gr TEZ with 100 gr of BH209, which I hunted with last year, but I also have the FPB's, 240gr xtp's and some 300gr .458's that shoot well enough for deer.

I am and have been ready ever since Sabotloader turned me onto Nosler partition bullets.115gr 777/3fg.PBR 170 yds. This is my hunting load, and I have no desire to ever change.

I'm so ready I've already put on my lucky underwear for the Nov. 12th. opener.

OK muzzleloading season will open in late October. i'm ready for muzzleloader season. The deer population in southwestern OK is in very bad shape. We are a long drought. There is very little for game to eat except dead grass. i have several game cameras out: They show the deer to be very undernourished.

There will be no acorns or pecans this year. If we do not get rain soon many of those deer will not make it through the winter. i will not kill deer that are undernourished. We are doing what we can with the feeders and i've gotten in a ton of soybeans and some calf and mule sweet feed. Maybe we can help some deer survive.

We own a place in southeastern OK that has not been hurt by the drought. i'll most likely camp out there and hunt some in muzzleloader season.
