Default Natchez is CRAZY!

I went to order a 320gr lee REAL double cavity bullet mold, They tried charging me over $17 for shipping on a one pound package! These mothers are freakin nuts! I just sent a 13lb great plains rifle off for $16. Boy are they getting a darn email!

I just paid 10 bucks for a package that weighed 3.4 lbs from them. Which i think the scope only weighs 1 pound. Must be a good bit of packaging.

HA! Went to track of the wolf and ordered the same thing for $24 and some change out the door.

Hope the CVA's like it. I wanted something cheap to reload my own ammo and play with. I miss casting bullets.

Im sure they do. If you have an account then with in a certain size box range are basically a flat rate. Im sure they have an account with FedEx or UPS. I think i paid about $20 to ship a rifle with an account and it comes with at least $500 in insurance on it.

BUT its the HANDLING that gets you. Boxes and tape are not always free.....except from USPS.

I have argued with these companies about the same thing and they give you a song and dance. I told Midsouth that if they wanted to sell an item, the shipping should not be more then the cost of the item. Also some of the companies now have a minimum order or they even charge you more. That is why I try to purchase local.

Thats why I try to order all my supplies from Grafs. $25+ order gets you $4.95 shipping. I'll burn more than $4.95 in gas driving to Gander Mtn or Bass Pro and would pay more for the product!

Yeah I love Natchezss.com, but the shipping charges keep me from ordering from unless I'm buying a lot at once. The problem is that many of the other online stores like Midway charge just as much shipping, and have higher prices. The exception seems to be Grafs. They have higher prices, but cheaper shipping. Powder Valley also has cheaper prices on some stuff, so I also order from them some.

However, compared to local shops most of the time even buying just one or two items from Natchez more than pays for the shipping.

What I do is add everything I want to the cart and see what the total will be with shipping. I check this at a few sites and go with the place that's the cheapest overall. If I'm ordering $100 or more, it's usually Natchez or Powder Valley. If I'm ordering $50 or so worth sometimes Grafs is the cheapest.
