Bullet Testing - Great Plains Hunter
#11
We all have read the reports of the powerbelt spattering, or no blood trail after being shot with one. But if this bullet is so bad, why does it sell so well. Yakfisher, that is some impressive penetration.

A 295 aerotip over 80 gr of powder should be great deer medicine! The people who have problems are pushing them at 120-150 gr of powder! That said, there are tougher bullets and cheaper bullets. If they were free, might give them a try. If not, the 300 gr FPB would be cheaper and tougher. And of course, Maxiballs and great plains are cheaper yet.
