not sure where they are but we hunt the southern rim of 84 near the greenhorn wilderness " west side of it" and you will commonly see bears moving through the mountains if you plant your butt and glass. I ran into 2 of them the last time i was hunting there but they took off before i could get a shot.

Now we get to reverse things LOL! We hardly ever see deer in 84 which is a bummer. Probably should hunt further north maybe?

When you are ready for someone to shoot that bear let me know .I volunteer to see how she holds up against a Bloodlines bullet and 130 gr 777 or 110 gr Blackhorn.

no problem! Even a hunt in unit 84 for bear is always a good chance at smacking one. It'd have to be during rifle season though if u wanted to use sabots.

Just cause you don't see bears, doesn't mean they aren't there. Bears are everywhere in Colorado.

Some guys hunt there whole life, and never see a bear.

Where I hut they have signs saying.........BEWARE OF BEARS.

So, being the smart guy that I am. I figure bears are there.:)

My walking into trees is warning enough.

boy was i one day to late! I went to go get my feeder out of the area and so i take the truck out back to the feeder back in and find that the bear tore the motor/battery off it. luckily my brother has a plastic welder and we fixed it up again but dang it! If i had just got it yesterday like i was supposed to, wouldnt have happened. Oh well, its fixed and out of the way. Brought a stock tank back there today along with 165 gallons of water. That will last a couple months at least i should hope.

Bet you have different emotions for that bear now don't you? Also bet you didn't call him cute after evaluating the damage.
I have bears right in my backyard. Occasionally one will come in to town and roam the streets the night before garbbage day. I guess he thinks its his own personal buffet! Last year in the summer, a woman a block up from me heard something outside early one morning and looked out her kitchen window to see a big old blackie standing on its hind legs in her above ground pool. He decided to take a dip and then crawled up the pool steps and layed on the deck like he owned the place.
