I could see that making my list of guns I really should have. I look forward to the range report on that one.

Now that i am interested in. I liked the Optima better anyway but the QRBP does take up a bit too much barrel length IMO.

I hope they sell like hot cakes so maybe other companies will see the value in a modern inline pistol. Recoil cant be any worse than a Contender in 45/70.

Depends on how much powder you pour down that short barrel. The 45/70 only has 70gr.

I used to load it with smokeless in my old Contender and i can tell you, a 45/70 modern load kicked really bad. I had to do some hand loads because factory ammo had a huge muzzle flash. Im not aware of any common 45/70 ammo loaded today with 70gr of any powder. I highly doubt it would effectively burn more than 60gr even with a big conical.

That might have a nice thump to it.

most likely will shoot a 250 thor or a 250gr Powerbelt. I noticed Colorado no longer has the " must be fired from the shoulder" rule as well.

Any mention of the rate of twist?

Pistols are sometimes faster than the same caliber in a rifle.

Knight made a HK94 Hawkeye pistol years ago that was based on the LK action. They had a Th Bullpup type stock so the action was partially behind you hand.

Toooo Sweet

that's nice also GM. the traditions vortek is also cerakoted, which is a nice feature and 1:28 twist.

The Hawkeye was 50cal 1-20 70gr max load. The faster twist helps a lot in the pistol. The QRBPs to me are a drawback too. It eats up a lot of barrel length for a pistol. I wish both of them would have used the earlier BPs like the Accura V1 plug. Traditions had a earlier inline 50cal pistol too that was cap only. It was offered in at least two barrel lengths and i think ported or unported.
