I've put a 350 gr FPB through an elk with 85 gr of BH209 at 119 yards. It was slightly quartering towards me so the bullet went in infront of the right shoulder, punched through bone of the left shoulder and stopped against the far hide. So to answer your question... YES!

FWIW, in my NEF Huntsman, the Metrics Unlimited breech plug ignites BH209 much more reliably than the PR .25 ACP breech plug.

Follow-up question... I received the Metrics Unlimited breech plug today and the instructions say to use a muzzleloading primer. Almost everything I've read says to use shotgun primers... I've got both, so which is it? Thanks for your help.

One of the guys on MM uses Win209s in a regular metrics Unlimited plug IIRC. So im pretty sure any primer will fit. That is the longest 209 primer so others might have more blowby. WinT7s are really close in size to a regular Win209 if you want to try them with T7. He modded a few plugs to use a O-ring with shorter MAG primers with very good results too.
