Okay i've been getting the V2 sighted in at 150 yards for the past 2 days, mainly just trying new ways of loading and so today i did a comparison of Hot Barrel VS Cooled down barrel @ 150 yards.

100gr Blackhorn209, .500" 250gr Thor, CCI 209Mag primers. Hot barrel, no stopping to let it cool down.


Same load but allowed a good 5 minute cool down between shots.

Repair pasty is 1.5" in diameter and so that group is a good deal under 1 1/2" @ 150 yards.


One more time on a cold barrel.




And you all will be sooooo proud of me! I didn't use my $300 Lead sled! LOL

Not a huge difference between hot and cold barrel... you not using a lead sled means your growing up finally... youngster Ray

no, it just means i need to find a new handle that will tighten it up and stop breaking! $300+ and they use cheap arse plastic lock up handle that can not be torqued down tight enough. Its a simple D stud the knob slips over and screws onto but the plastic just keeps breaking and spins freely. Have to see what i can come up with. That or see if our HNI local machinist ron can make something for me LOL.

That CVA is a shooter, keep that up and you may be shooting 2 inch groups at 200 yds. i shoot off my pack a lot in the field, so i practice shooting off it also. makes for a very steady rest!!! my buddy that shoots in sniper competitions showed me a way to lay and shoot even better off the ground. Hard to explain, you would have to see it.lower body is ****ed at a slight angle and his legs are locked lol.. it's strange looking,but works well for better accuracy.he's all into it and has the hand held wind gage,special mat to lay on and builds some high dollar rifles..look it up on the web! Nope. its full bore. Check out the pic above and you can see what its a hollow base that expands into the rifling when fired. Seals up the gasses tight. In a 5 grain heavier bullet, they normally shoot 200+ FPS faster than a Powerbelt.
