Default New pride and joy! Picture heavy

Im not sure if you guys remember this from last year or not, but i first caught it on camera last Thanksgiving and was crappin my pants over him.

Last year,

This year!! Hes the one on the far right. He brought two 4x4 buddies with him in the process.

Some new pictures of him from late last night and early this morning as well.

a wee lil deer. Still a 4x4 thought, just needs some years under his belt.

Pictures from a handful of days ago,'

And NO, i am not going to hunt them nor are you guys! They need at least 3 years of growing to be shooters. I've waited 16 years for this to happen and its finally happening due to me managing the property by cutting out trees and brush and even leveling some ground. Only a small amount of grass this year but its enough to keep having them come back to the area. A pond will be going in hopefully next month as well.

If you want to see more pics of him as well as the other 2 bucks, just go here and look through pages 1 through 4 or 5.

I had a total of 69 pictures on my camera this morning so i figured something was up LOL. Also caught 2 dogs in the area as well. One of them freaked me out because his body looked like a bear.

So, you're going to shoot them in 3 years?

Lets see you answer without getting in trouble.

wouldnt be the first time LMAO. BUT thats only because she had something and was rotting inside. Never smelled anything as bad as that.

Nah, as ive grown older i've learned to enjoy wildlife, i always wanted to shoot anything that was legal but over time i've learned to just watch and enjoy them and take what i felt was right for the taking. We all have our own ideas of trophies and IMO any of the 3 deer above, others should shoot in a heart beat to fill the freezer. Im a meat hunter as well but if i can harvester a big deer, good. If not, small deer meat in the freezer is still better than a bowl of $43 tag soup.

You're probably right though muley, by the time i let them grown i just may be to soft hearted and attached to pull the trigger on one of them.

I like to watch them too. But that one sure looks like roasts and sausage to me.

MountainDevil That one is a good looking buck and the others have some potential. Looks like the hard work is paying off.

I have a Wildgame Innovations camera and I'm not getting that good of a picture, which model do you have?

IR4. I have to use a program called GIMP to adjust the brightness settings on the pictures. My camera is pretty low on batteries so i dont think the flash is doing what it should be.

If you look at the " This year!!" picture, the only one during day light. The buck on the left " actually in the middle" has a double browtine.

Very nice looking deer. I am getting terrible in my old age. I get a lot of joy just watching the deer in my yard. And come hunting season, when I see them on stand.. I let them pass. After all we don't shoot our friends, now do we!

Big bucks are nice - but u can't eat horns. I never was much of a trophy hunter. I like to hunt and if its legal, I will shoot it. Now I have passed a few buck in my time, but not too many. And usually when I know there is a bigger one in the area.
