caliber?

Can anyone tell me the exact caliber of the bullet in this package?

I don't understand why they don't state the caliber of the bullet in bullet/sabot combo packs.

451-452 would be my guess

Darn it!

I'm afraid you're right. I just bought a box of .430's in 240 grain and I was hoping they were the same. Do you think there will be much of a difference in the point of impact will be between the two bullets?

Since it is a black sabot, I would bet it is a .452. I believe if it were a .430-240 it would be a green sabot.

I didn't think to match the sabot type and color to the size of the bullet. But what I did was took my .45 caliber side lock pistol and tried to put it down the bore. The .430's slid right down but the ones in the package wouldn't go in.

Then they are definately .451"-.452"

So, no ideas on the difference between the point of impact between the two? Just wondering, even though I'm sure I'll find out sooner or later.

You probably will not see much difference in the normal hunting shooting ranges, but at extended ranges 175 and beyond the 430-240 will have a better trajectory because of it's higher BC.

Its a Hornady .452 XTP Mag. Hornady makes them for TC.

Think you might be right - I did not know they made a XTP Mag in a 240 grain
