I have just purchased a TC Triumph the black and Blued model, I Know I will have to take good care of it, are there any products you can recomend for cleaning?What is a good load I should start with I would like to try BH 209 what primers should I use with the BH209?

Welcome to the forum. As for loads.. there are Triumph shooters that I am sure will share their secret loads. That is a great rifle from all I have read on it.

Good deal on the blued barrel. I've been using them since to 50's with no problems.

A load around 100 gr of BH 209 will be good. Some like 110gr, but I feel 100gr will do the job.

I like Butch's Bore Shine to clean out BH 209. It has a strong smell, but that stuff doesn't bother me. It also cleans out copper fouling really well.

I use 90 grains of BH209 with a winchester209 primer. As for bullet and sabot combo you have alot of options. I would first use the Harvester Crushed rib sabot. Most Triumphs like them and they are easy to load. As for bullets anything in the .451 or .452 pistol dia. will work. I use the 300 grain XTP MAG, but other use Speer Deep Curl and others. As for cleaning I use the TC17 Products. They seem to do the job really well. With my load I can shot a inch group at 100 and 2 to 2.5 at 200 yards. Topped my off the a Nikon Omega Scope. Havn't looked back yet.

I think very highly of my Triumph. 110 or 120 shoot most sabot loads, normally the Win 209 sold for reloading fits the best and eliminates any blowback around the primer which makes the gun easy to clean if the win 209 fits to tight then the Rem STS. In mine I use the FPB 350 gr Hornady conical with 90 gr it has shot 1 inch groups for me, I use it where I must use a conical. The bullets I get the best groups from are the 200gr Shock Wave 50/40, the 250 gr Lehigh, the 250 gr Shock Wave [I use the bonded for hunting they shoot the same POI as the cheaper yellow tip] and last but far from least is the 250 gr Gold Dot or Deep Curl [name change]. The Triumph shoots a wide range of bullets when set up right but these work best for me.

I like what I am hearing guys keep the ideas comming!What is the best corrosion protection product for a blued barrel?Conicals?I've been told the QLA barrel doesn't do so hot with conicles!And I have also read that Winchester primers are too long for the triumph!HMMM!Is this site another AT!

Dynatek Bore Coat is the best protection against rust & corrosion. Its not an oil but a glue like mixture that you coat your bore, let it sit over night and then fire a total of 40 shots through. This special glue contains particles of Ceramic that embed into the steel of the gun, sealing it up tight from corrosion and rust. Never have to oil the gun again.

Oil is cheap compared to wasting 40 Thors, plus whatever that Bore Coat cost.

$25 for both the bore coat and gun coat.

Try it Muley! You dont have to worry about the first shot being off. It truly is some darn good stuff.
