Default NE 460 load suggestions

I am planning to buy some No Excuses 460 gr. 50cal to shoot in my Knight BK92. I want to use BH powder. I am thinking about 80 grains would be ideal. Any suggestions would be appreciated. (I havent shot pure lead conicals in about 18 years.)

No, it was the first "cheap" M> they made after Tony sold the company. It is basically a MK85 with cheap plastic sights, cheap plastic trigger guard, and a cheap plastic ramrod thimble. All dimensions and metal parts are identical to the MK85.

BTW the cheap parts have all been upgraded to MK85 parts. )

yep. could get hurt by launching a primer at your eye. Not worth the risk and this is coming from a dare devil LOL.

if it is a plunger style rifle.. and I am almost certain it is.. that is not made to shoot BlackHorn 209. I tried Blackhorn in a Thompson Center Black Diamond and ended up digging a primer out of my forehead. So be warned. Also with conicals you create a tremendous back pressure, so if it is shooting #11 caps it will blow them back at you. If it shoots 209 primers again, be very careful. Wear shooting glasses for sure.

80 grains would be maybe a little hot for that conical. I shoot that same conical with 80 grains of Triple Seven and I was told that BH is pushing things even hotter then Triple Seven. I'd start at 70 grains and try that.

In that rifle Bh209 is a not a good idea.777 is fine, but i would use a shot card with it. my knight likes .75 gr pyrodex and the NE .460 gr bullet and is very accurate. Ray

Even though you cannot/shouldn' use BH209 that gun should shoot the conicals really nice with Pyrodex or Triple 7. Let us know how you make out. Have fun shooting!

I have used 80 grains of 2f Goex shooting 460 grain conicals with very good accuracy in a mk-85.
