Default Called DOW!

Said that i am +1 "total of 2" for pref point for elk tag but 0 pref points for deer.

That means, i drew my buck tag but not my bull

Ah well! Just load up with an over the counter bear tag and be happy im out in the woods.

What a drag to have to get drawn to hunt an animal.
Of course we don't have elk but you just go buy a license here. Buy an extra buck tag if you want, or wait untill you shoot a buck then buy one, and go hunting. No draws. And for muzzleloader you can harvest up to 10 does, I believe, for the freezer.

Hunting should be for the meat. You can't eat antlers.

If FG had applied for a cow elk he'd be hunting.

During the rut? If you have no cows. You won't have bulls either.

Cow hunting is a bit different. You can't really call them in. Sometimes a calf call works.

You just aren't looking for them. You probably have this many..

we have plenty of bulls, they bugle all over the place. I stalked one last year and he was by him self. No cows to be seen.

Its a rough area to hunt due to all the timber - dead fall.

On the other hand, it's a real bad idea to hang meat on the wall.

I don't see anything wrong with antler hunting if that's your thing. There's no "should be" involved. Just personal preferences.
