I just use the Cabelas brand that is a LED light and shine down the barrel. Its amazing what the LED light will show. I have no complaints.

Two good lights stripercrazy.

This one from O'Reilly Auto Parts for about ten bucks.

And this one from any good fishing equipment store for three or four bucks.

Bye the way, when I first saw your screen name I thought it was strippercrazy. Ever been to Bourbon Street?

Damn Semi, where did you get that SuperRay. That is a neat little light. I have one of them Rod & Bobb lights for my 32 and 45 cals. But I have a little brass green LED bore light made by CVA.

$10 at O'Reilly Auto Parts. If I recall correctly the diameter is .24. It easily fits the bore of my .32 if I remove the pocket clip. It comes with the batteries. Replacement batteries are around $6. I use mine for gun inspection (never go to a gun show or pawn shop without one) and to walk to and from my deer stands in the dark. The original batteries lasted a little over a year. You can turn the pocket clip around and clip it to the brim of your hat.

I use a nickel .357, or .38 spent case. Drop it in the barrel with the headstamp toward the muzzle. Use a flashlight, I use a maglite, and shine it in the bore. It will reflect off the case head and illuminates the bore. Works great!
