Default I have a weakness

I have a weakness for laminated stocks.
I came across this one still in the wrapper from when it was sent out by MML. I had to buy it. I think it complements my little mk-85 with the carbine barrel.

I share your weakness Flounder, and that's a beauty.

I don't have an MK-85, but might have bought that stock if I came across it and then would have had to start looking for a barrel to put on it.

The guy I bought it from is a gunsmith who use to have a shop in Indiana. He said he ordered this stock for a customer years ago and they never picked it up.

That looks like my forest green stock that came with my mk85, still looks great after many years of hard hunting.

I share your addiction. My wife does too, apparently, since I recently had to get rid of a 700 LSS that would not shoot worth a flip. She said it was too pretty to sell. I still have my 700 Mountain LSS in 30-06 that's a dandy, though.

Flounder that is funny. I had a gunsmith rip me off on a MK-85 stock about 10 years ago. And I am not making that up. It really happened. He got me for $500. Tom.

Tom, I really don't think it was the same guy. Different city and a different name of the shop than what you messaged me. Actually way on the other side of the state. This guy seemed like a straight shooter to me. A real gentleman. Another thing I am wondering is how can a person get ripped off for $500 on a stock. They never sold for anything near that.
