Seriously look into a trigger job. Should only be $30-$40. Well worth the money for a nice trigger.

Was that yellow sabot the 2 petal T/C EZ Glide? Those are extremely small loaded OD IIRC. I haven't seen many people get good results with them with any powder. Also did you use the 240gr XTP MAG? Typically they are not as accurate as the non mag 45cal XTPs also.

The yellow sabot was scavenged from the sabot that comes with the 250 grain Thompson center Shockwave. The bullet was a discontiued Speer 225 grain hollow point. Not an XTP.

Experimenting is fun and even more fun when you have some reviews of those components. ;) All the 45cal 240gr XTPs are mags as far as i know. You may enjoy another bullet more if accuracy is an important part of the experiment.

Of course accuracy was an important part of the experiment but I allready have a very good load worked up for the rifle. I was just hoping to stumble upon a better load.

I like loose for the cost and the fact that it is much more stable. In other words, it won't break up or fall apart. As of now though, the pellets seem to be more accurate in my Pursuit. If I can keep the 110 grain load of Pyrodex loose grouping tight, as seen in target #4, I will have no need for the pellets.
